Odoo raises the Custom plan price by about 20%

With Odoo 20, Odoo raised the price of its Custom plan by about 20%, its first increase in four years. In France the plan is now €35.90 per user per month in the first year of a yearly contract, €44.90 after that. The Standard plan and the free One App plan stay the same, and existing customers are protected on renewal by a 7% yearly cap. Here is what changed, who pays it and what to check.

Pricing

The short answer

  • What changed: the Custom plan went from about €29 to €35 per user per month, as Fabien Pinckaers announced at Odoo Experience on September 24. The pricing page now shows €35.90 for the first year on a yearly contract, then €44.90 (France).
  • What didn't: the Standard plan stays at €19.90 and the One App plan stays free. Community has no user fees.
  • Existing customers: the subscription agreement caps the renewal increase at 7% per year of the previous term, as long as you pay less than the list price.
  • Also new: a light user at €7.90 a month, counted for every employee without an internal user. Explained in our post on light users.

Odoo has raised the price of its Custom plan, the one you need for Studio, several companies, the external API, Odoo.sh or hosting Odoo yourself. Fabien Pinckaers, Odoo’s founder, announced it at Odoo Experience in Brussels on September 24, 2026, the day Odoo 20 came out. The Brussels Times reported the figures from his talk: the Custom plan goes from about €29 to €35 per user per month, roughly 20%, the first increase in four years. Salaries and hosting costs were the reasons he gave. The Standard plan stays at €19.90 and using a single app stays free.

The new prices

Odoo’s pricing page shows prices by country. The figures below are the ones it served to us for France, in euros, on October 24, 2026. The lower price is a discount for the first 12 months on the users in your first order; the second one is the price after that.

Plan Yearly contract Monthly contract
One App Free €0 €0
Standard €19.90, then €24.90 €24.90, then €31.10
Custom €35.90, then €44.90 €44.90, then €56.90
Light user €7.90 €7.90

All prices are per user per month. On the Custom plan, Odoo.sh hosting is charged separately. The Custom card now also lists Agentic AI next to Studio, multi-company and the external API.

Prices are not the same everywhere. An archived copy of the page as served in Portugal in December 2025 (arquivo.pt) showed the Custom plan at €17.90, then €22.40, half the French price. Some sites are publishing tables of the increase by region, ranging from 5% to 25%; we couldn’t check them against Odoo’s own pages, so check the price for your own country.

What it costs

For a company in France with 25 users on the Custom plan and a yearly contract:

  • New customer, first year: 25 × €35.90 × 12 = €10,770
  • New customer, from the second year: 25 × €44.90 × 12 = €13,470

At the old price of about €29 reported by the Brussels Times, the first year would have been close to €8,700.

Existing customers

Your price doesn’t jump to the new list price on renewal. Odoo’s Enterprise Subscription Agreement (version 13, dated September 24, 2026) says in section 5.2 that if you paid less than the current list price, your charges on renewal increase by up to 7% per year of the previous term. For a yearly contract at €29.90 per user, that means at most €31.99 per user at the next renewal.

The cap applies to what you already pay for. Two things are charged at the current list price instead (section 5.1):

  • Users or light users you add during the term, and a switch to a higher plan, for example from Standard to Custom when you install Studio or add a second company.
  • An old version: once a year, from six months after a new major version comes out, a database on a version no longer covered pays an extra 25% of its annual price.

Light users

The same agreement introduces the light user at €7.90 a month, for employees who only need self-service tools. Every active employee without an internal user counts as one, and on October 23 Odoo announced that employees who only use Point of Sale won’t be charged. We explain who counts and what to check in Light users in Odoo 20.

Who it concerns

  • Custom plan customers, on Odoo Online, Odoo.sh or on-premise. You are on Custom if you use Studio, more than one company or the external API, or if you don’t host on Odoo Online.
  • Not Standard plan customers: the Standard price is unchanged, but adding Studio or a second company moves you to Custom.
  • Not Community users: Odoo Community has no user fees.
